Tee Ball

The boys headed outside to get in some practice before ball season started. I got a good chuckle and a happy heart seeing Matt laying on the ground holding a light saber as the tee. He is so great at playing with the boys. Jason ended up getting a tee for his birthday and has only used it once.
The season started a few weeks ago and we have been busy with 3-4 games a week. Jason has five games at 7:30 PM! and two of those are on Friday night but other than that I don't have any complaints. It has been fun to see these guys in action.
David started out as a bit of a lollygager (blogger says that isn't a word, but oh well) but is beginning to watch the ball the whole time, which is a great plus when he is on a base. He is playing coach pitch and does a great job hitting.
Jason tends to play baseball like he does soccer. He chases after the ball no matter where it is hit. He doesn't man his base very well. He plays best as pitcher since he gets every hit and throws the ball to first base as though it were on fire. When the first baseman can catch it is really fun to watch. He also keeps his eye on the ball when he is hitting (unlike the above picture).
No to be left out, Braydon is having a blast playing with Lainy and Jared since Jayce & David are on the same team. I have started bringing him an after game treat so that I don't have to listen to the crying and fighting over sharing. Seems to be working.

Very creative! And I need to be bringing a treat too! Smart mom you are. My kids sure do sleep better on game days after running around with your kids at the game! Plus it's nice to have a friend for me there too!
